Breast Cancer, Hackers, and Sullana Talents

be careful about the security of your social media. Also,  culture from Sullana impacts the world.

The Day to Fight against Breast Cancer was observed last October 19th. Specialists called the attention again about this is the type of cancer causing more mortality in women.

Numbers from world Health Organization state 12 women will suffer from breast cancer along their lives. Only speaking of Peru, the same source says 685 thousand women died because of that disease in 2020.

Breast cancer breaks out when breast cells suffer mutations or changes in their DNA.Let’s remember DNA is the molecule containing the whole programming of functions and features of our bodies.

We inherit DNA from our fathers and mothers… and their fathers and their mothers. In fact, the most prevalence of breast cancer has inherited origin. In other words, if there were cases of this disease among your relatives, it’s probable you can get it. However, this theory is not conclusive.

Hundreds of factors can propitiate this disease to appear. What the Medicine does guarantee us is if the breast cancer, as well as any type of cancer, is detected in early moments, the chance to heal is high.

Right now, the breast self-exam is the first way to detect if you have any little suspicious bulge. If so, go immediately to your oncologist for having more specialized tests.

And if you have to start any treatment, just do it.

Celebrities diagnosed with breast cancer, who survived the disease, are actress Shannon Doherty, Matthew Knowles, actress Julia Louis Dreyffuss, journalist Joan London, presenter Giuliana Ransic, or journalist Andrea Mitchell. Look for their life stories on the web, and learn how they encouraged to face the disease. Life was their main choice.

In the list, I also included men. Yes, not much as women, but men also can get breast cancer. Remember, early detection saves lives.

Meanwhile, we comfort Friends and families whose passed away because of this disease. Our prays are with everyone of you.

Chasing the hacker

Here in Sullana, journalist Midian Agurto, Sullana en la Noticia’s publisher and editor, denounced her Facebook fanpage was hacked. Sullana en la Noticia is a Sullana City  affiliate of TresAlHilo, our Spanish language newscast.

According to Agurto, she lost the managing  of her fanpage in October 17th afternoon.

On her show aired by Sullana based Millenium Radio, the journalist told she achieved to contact the hacker. Eventually after a negotiation process, the presumed cyber attacker promised to get back the fanpage control. It didn’t happen until our deadline.

Sullana en la Noticia is characterized by impartiality and criticism on Sullana reality. Some colleagues from other media have expressed solidarity with the journalist. Live Connection considers this is an attack against press freedom and speech freedom.

We also suggest every content creator to lock by using the own toolsprovided by social media for avoiding these attacks.

In Facebook case, have information and enable the Protector function. It allows you to protect the login to your account and the pages you manage throughout a password change. Additionally, it allows you to create a customized password you can enable by SMS or QR code for authenticating that account is yours.

An actor and an anthropologist

Actor Nerit Olaya is in Cuba. He’s not on vacation, but an artistic tour. After a time he spent here in Sullana, he took a flight to the island.

Olaya told me he is leading workshops and acting in plays. Last weekend, the actor was recognized with Palabras Vivas Award in Las Tunas. The last week, he was in Holguín. He runs a dramatized reading show.

Last Friday, he performed Como en las películas, Like The Movies. Last Saturday, he enacted Del amor y otros desvaríos, About Love & Other Ravings. The play includes a tale from the Chilean writer Isabel Allendé, who currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

For October 29th and 30th, Olaya will be stil in Holguin, Cuba. That will be the time of La Tregua, The Truce, based upon the novel by Uruguayan Mario Benedetti.

As much as I know, Olaya’s future plans are coming to live and work here, in Sullana.

In non-fiction, there is another interesting releasing. Sullana-native anthropologist Elim Aguirre

has been presenting her first book. It’s entitled el Regreso de los Tallanés, The Return of Tallanés.

It’s about the cultural legacy of a Pre-Hispanic people living and working here, in Chira Valley. The so-called Tallán nation broke out circa 6th century AD. Their golden age ran from 1100 to 1500 AD. It’s supposed they were conquered by the Spanish in 1532.

Miss Aguirré’s book includes the script of  a theater play reenacting the Spanish foundation of San Miguel in Tangarara, the first settlement the conquerors established at Chira Valley. The town persists today 12 miles away Sullana City, in Marcavelica District.

The book also has a QR code. Wen you scan it with your smartphphone,it displays the full performance on the stage, as well as interviewsd with archaeologists and other researchers.

El Regreso de los Tallanés is published by Editorial Universidad de Navarra, based in Pamplona, Spain.

Let’s continue with culture. If you are in Piura City on Saturday 29th, go to see Mil Novecientos. This is a rock band that will perform its own repertoire. The show will be at Makala. There is a promotion for my followers purchasing a ticket. For more information, text at +5 19 6 16 0 34 4 3.

#LiveConnection September 4th, 2022

Journalism is the job consisting in searching the reality for explaining it to you. Our goal is you have good information to take better decisions. That’s the theory.

It’s true that many times, commercial interests made the journalism to turn a merchandise instead of a service. Inclusive, journalists use to forget the show-business is an issue to cover, not a state to be into. That depends on two crucial aspects. First, we as journalists have to stand strong and defend our real purpose in the society. Second, the public has to understand the facts are more important than the gossip or the rumors. Both depends on education.

That’s why, this week, my colleague and best friend Jorge Luis Otero started in Talara City, here in Piura Department, a project with high-school students. It’s a Journalism worshop. What he wants to reach is the students to improve their communication skills. That means speaking good, writing good, explaining good.

I learned about that project because Jorge Luis asked me for sending the students a greeting on video. The idea looked me like very good, but I realize the teenagers love surprises. So, I told Jorge Luis to do a little drill in exchange.

I performed a little newscast in the same way I webcast my newscasts in Spanish to my broad audience. But this one should be only addressed to that classroom. And we did it so.

By using a Zoom connection, I performed a newscast as usual that ended ina little motivational speech. After that experience, Jorge Luis called me to thank, and to tell me that the drill wondered the students because it gave them a first approach about how we manage the news in oder to spread them to the people.

Not only with journalism, but I think it would be great if the professions and jobs look for ways to get close the school or high-school students. Why? Because we eestimulate vocations.

Many ttimes, teenagers don’t know what to do about their lives, or maybe they are following a flow or the pressure of their parents. But what do they want to do and to be?

We, who are working in what we love, may be the conduits to teach those teenagers. Obviously, we need teachers who understand how to make that match.

The school in actual times must not be encloistered into its walls – it has to expand to the community, and the community has to be open to serve as mentors. This topic has many things to talk, but let’s start up on that idea. Is your school or high-school asking for that kind of connection? Are you able to take that chance and entering the classrooms? Let’s talk about.

#LiveConnection August 28th, 2022

There are many little things we can do at home to save money and care the planet. One of them is checking out how we are using the water. This precious resource allows life in most cases. The problem is that’s not infinite.

Even when ¾ parts of our planet are basically water, especially if you live around the Pacific Ocean, the actual fact is that the amount is becoming shorter for almost 8 billion people living in the planet.

For years, different people around the globe have been advocating for a rational use of water. Maybe you can protect the rivers, lakes, or the sea. But, can we do anything in a smaller place like our home?

In 2005, FACTORTIERRA produced an English-content version website called factortierra2, especially created to serve with original contents to audiences in the United States and Europe. One of our topics was covering environmental issues across Piura Department especially at the highlands where a mining project is still proposed – Rio Blanco.

As we working on that, once upon a day we received an intriguing e-mail from a female from North Atlanta, GA. She said she was a high-school student, she was interested in having information about water saving in developing countries like Peru. After interchanging data and impressions, we decided to join the campaign in North Atlanta and Peru, and focusing it in one simple action as turning off the faucet.

Download the sign the students created to advocate on the water saving.

The Latin-American Legacy of Tambograndé

I joined a webinar on March 16th, 2022. It was summoned by Beyond 2020 Solidarity and Acción No Violenta en las Americas. It was a chance to share experiences about how non-violence can prevent or stop natural resources extraction. Other panelists were in Bolivia, Brazil, Honduras, and Ecuador. Coming next, I transcript my exposition.

Tambograndé is located in Piura, Northwestern Peru. It’s mostly dedicated to exporting agriculture. It forms San Lorenzo Valley, a Peruvian government’s project established 1950.

It’s surrounded by the equatorial Dry Forest, a very sensitive endemic ecosystem that provides other economic activity – cattle. It also allows apiculture or little food industry. Algarrobina or carob syrup is one of the most famous natural food supplements in Peru. Water comes here from Piura River, quiet from fall to spring, huge in summer.

The conflict

Tambograndé’s people  opposed to a proposed mine that was going to be operated by former Vancouver-based Manhattan Minerals Corporation, (Manhattan).  Farmers feared it might pollute San Lorenzo Valley, the dry forest, and Piura River.

Pollution might affect negatively the mango exportation. San Lorenzo can sell abroad until 300,000 tons in a good season. United States, Canada, and Europe are the most important markets. Peru is the third main mango exporter in the world.

The other hazard was going to be Piura River’s pollution. During el Niño events, heavy rains can overload it, becoming destructive. On March 22nd, 2017, it flooded Piura Downtown, the regional capital city.

Fight in San Lorenzo Valley began in October 1999. People at the croplands discovered Manhattan was drilling the soil to get mineral tests. The problem was it didn’t ask the people for an authorization to enter. San Lorenzo valley is basically private property established 1960.

People demanded the national and local government to rule Manhattan. They had no answer. Then, people demanded Manhattan to leave the town. It couldn’t because it had much to lose. All its money was invested in three poly-metallic deposits:

  • B5, amid the nearby dry forest.
  • TG3, just beside Piura River across Tambograndé Downtown.
  • TG1, just underneath Tambograndé Downtown.

This last one was the most critical because it demanded to move about 20,000 people. Underneath Tambograndé Downtown, it lays a deposit of gold, silver, cooper, zinc, and iron. The problem was Manhattan didn’t guarantee a clean operation to San Lorenzo farmers

When activists translated Manhattan’s info from its website, they discovered the company was probably cheating. This was the first reason why San Lorenzo’s people didn’t want it. You cannot build good relationships about anything if you lie – a deal was not possible.

As the government didn’t support Tambograndé’s demand, people decided to protest. Demonstrations were raising each time. On February 27th to 28th, 2001, Tambograndé went to a general strike. There were struggles between farmers and the Police in Manhattan’s camp at Tambograndé Uptown. Amid the protest, the facility was destroyed and burned.

But the real plot point came one month later. On March 31st, 2001, a killer gunshot San Lorenzo’s leader Godofredo Garcia. The farmer, an agricultural engineer and professor, died bleeding.

The non-violent solution

After Godofredo Garcia’s murder, Tambograndé issued a pacific strategy, a multi-strategy actually.

Organizational: Tambograndé and San Lorenzo already revived its Front of Defense, a civil organization created to fight a former enemy, French mining company BRGM. In 1970s, it was to exploit iron deposits next to Tambograndé Downtown.

The Front of Defense had already an ally, Diacony for Justice and Peace, a human rights office managed by the Catholic Church, that connected to other non-profit organizations across Peru. They formed the Mesa Técnica, the Technical Panel. It linked other organizations and individuals around the world. The local cause of Tambograndé became global.

Educational: The Front of Defense and the Technical Panel summoned many workshops and seminars. Their goal was to inform and to educate the people about benefits and risks of having a mine amid an agricultural valley . They happened in Tambograndé City as well as the countryside.

The Front of Defense leaders also went to town halls and even Peru’s Congress. The presentations were based upon science. In 2001 and 2003, American scientist Robert Moran conducted a field research. The hydro-geologist and geo-chemistrian gave reasons instead of slogans.

In 2003, the time for Tambograndé was getting over. Manhattan had to present its environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). A government agency, a recognized private university, and even a volunteer chemistrian reviewed the document. They all found more than a hundred errors and mistakes.

Legal: In June 2nd, 2002, 7 of every 10 voters freely attended to a popular consultation.

People were asked if they agreed or disagreed the mining activity in Tambograndé and San Lorenzo Valley. Nine of every ten said no. Peru’s Government never recognized it as legal. However, it was a Latin American milestone.

Further popular consultations were applied in Esquel, Argentina, Sipacapa, Guatemala, and even Piura Highlands, Peru. All cases resulted the majority opposed to local mining projects. They all were inspired on Tambograndé.

Political: In 2003, Front of Defense ran Francisco Ojeda for Tambograndé’s Mayor. He wan. The purpose was to shut down the Manhattan’s project but from inside the government.

Cultural: The ultimate Tambograndé’s demonstration was November 4th to 6th, 2003. Manhattan needed to present its EIA in public hearings. It was a Peruvian government’s requirement to pass from exploration to exploitation. Manhattan only needed to have two of three hearings.

Tambograndé and its allies organized a boycott, but it was a big cultural event. The star was the mango and his buddy, the lime. Manhattan couldn’t do any hearing.

After the last one cancelled, its share in Toronto Stock Exchange brought down 40%. After failed trials, it left Peru mid-2005.

Media: The Technical Panel sponsored three books and a newspaper insert. As Manhattan had a website, the fight also moved to the cloud. In October 2000, I launched FACTORTIERRA. In 2001, Technical Panel launched tambogrande.org.pe

In 2007, an emblematic documentary was premiered. Ernesto Cabellos & Stephanie Boyd’s Tambograndé– Mangos, Mining, Murder was awarded around the world. Even, it was broadcast. Other reports were featured on Peruvian TV as well as international. BBC released a multi-platform story in December 2003.

Even a music CD featuring late Somos Tambograndé duo was released too.

What we learned

  • First, the Tambograndé’s very well coordinated multi-strategy worked terrific. The starting point was its identity, what makes it unique in the world.
  • Second, Thinking in long term. Solving the conflict was the first goal. What about the future? Sustainable development has answers. For example, we see Tambograndé as an experiential tourism hotspot. It’s about archeology, ecology, healthy lifestyle, eco businesses. Even in my opinion, a good location for photography, video, and film. Come here, and try it by yourself.
  • About this particular, third, a personal reflection: when you use the media for real positive purposes, you can change the course of history. I’m the living proof that it is really possible.

Terrorism is ever terrorism – no matter when and where

What 9/11 badly tought to the world is that terrorism is terrorism everywhere no matter wwhat motivation ignites it. By definition, it’s catching the power looking for the people to feel afraid living in freedom and fighting to conserve it as a way to the progress, the tranquility, and the peace.

In the same way, for many countries around the world where this issue has been not usual, the event made them to call terrorist to the one who is terrorist, although like the Mexican (but Miami-based) journalist Jorge Ramos, with Univisión Network, notices, it also made us to call  terrorist to the one who just thinks different than us.

My memories about that Tuesday morning are currently some blurring, but I remember I was just starting the work day in Malingas, a rural village in Piura Department, Peru, where I worked producing an educational radio show. I got the headline on my cellphone like many others across my country.

For the ones who had that news alert by SMS, then running to the TV screens and seeing live-broadcast how the large flames came out ffrom the gap that two planes caused at the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City brought us two sensations – consternation and anxiety.

9/11/01: The towers are hit - YouTube

Why did this story connect closely to the most Peruvian audience? The simple answer is because we already passed it through. Between 1980 and 1997, terrorists groups as Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) and Movimiento Revolucionario Túpac Amaru (Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement or MRTA as its initials in Spanish) kidnapped, killed, set up bombs, destroyed public and private property.

They said they fought for our freedom, for releasing us from what they say imperialism (the American influence, actually), but ever using violence, ever blaming who thinks different, ever threatening who set them in controversy. The agenda was clearly taking the power anyway.

An, in this point, it’s necessary to remark that a terrorist is not mandatorily that man or woman who wears a military outfit. He or she can quietly wear like some of us, or even wearing a top designer suit. He or she can come from the left, the middle, or the right – terrorism doesn’t know of ideologies. He or she wants to control us in the most insane way you ever can imagine.

It’s relatively easy to forge loyalties when you force violently someone to do what you say. Acting by fear is not acting in freedom, indeed. So, if simple impositions are not enough, the agressions are going to scale. And if nothing works, the best for them will be to vanish you.

After the 9/11, something rare happened to the world. Instead to use the milestone like a pairtaking to build a ffairest world in liberty and respect, we are confronting much than we can imagine. The polarization in all senses is the measure of our days. And that is a gain for the real terrorists.

They try to highlight the feelings of one of the parts by pitching the idea they are down, powerless, so the resentment is created, and a train of actions fueled by the hate and a manipulated need to reinvindication is the next. And if it allows to catch the power, the better, but to live in justice? No. The experiences across the planet don’t prove that.

All the regimes that could take up following that method ultimately made the leaders a kind of little court with so many priviledges, the same they criticized the previous administrations, while the rest of people live submitted, poor, without options to be what they want to be.

9/11: South Tower collapses, Pentagon hit – YouTube

Otherwise, if something has become clear after 9/11 is that terrorism is a global issue, not the one focused in por or developing countries –even the U.S. had domestic terrorism issues since 1990s until the recent presidential race—so the combat against demands unity. There are some trials and collaborative networks for intelligence and enforcement, but not all the points of view are aligned because the origin of every terrorist crusade has their own local particularities.  Then, a world recipe working as a formula is not ever the best way to solve it.

It’s possible we don’t see the lessons of 9/11 experience with clarity yet. But today that we are commemorating 20 years of other event in the recent history that shook the word, it’s a good time to think about. How much our political, social, economic comfort zone come to be too important that we can’t see around and understand that we can live as we want to live but considering the rest has the same right, that we can help and learn each other. We can be community not quitting our individuality – they are complementary dimensions. We are still on time to make the step for being a better world without violence. We can. Let’s do it.

Producing contents

If you’re thinking to communicate something, you should consider those steps.

In 2012, I was invited to give a workshop about contents production at a school in Tambograndé, Peru, because they had the chance to launch a local diffusion TV show. The problem I found was that the project… had no project, and even a methodology assuring a positive impact.

Although you work on non-commercial contents, it has no sense building them so far the needs of people. So, it must be important to know appreciating both perspectives –transmitter, receiver—to be successful.

Planning our feature

When contents addressed to the public are planned, two points of view must be conciliated – what the transmitter entity wants to say, and what the public wants to receive. The first one implies to work on our feature’s design. We must imagine how we’d like it looked like and were recognized because it makes no sense to create something for having it hidden, but for it to be shown and generate a point of view in the persons who receive it.

The design implies to consider quality criteria, what means which ones will be the insights that will make our feature as original, functional, and aesthetic.

  • The originality implies the new which it is introduced even if we combine known elements – it’s what makes it unique.
  • The functionality is the logic allowing it can be understandable and useful for the life of people.
  • The aesthetics are all the insights that make it nice to the senses.

Those three components must be work in a combined way. As much as this design’s details are more specific, it will be better the way it can be managed, adapt, and introduced to the public. But, is everyone called to receive our feature?

Surveying the market

The first question you must ask when a feature is planned for the big audience is which target of that is the right to receive what we have created. If the answer is “for everyone”, it shows unexpertise and ignorance of the audience we are addressing to. So, it will be a feature that ends to dislike everyone.

Although the ideal is creating features that can reach the most people as possible, the true is that will be a target of that what will accept better, what will make it as own, aand even it will invest (time, money, effort, etc) on it. That’s why it’s important to conduct a market survey, what means a research that allow us to know in detail the characteristics of the persons who potentially could receive our feature, so we identify which portion or segment of these persons will accept it better and under which conditions.

The best suggestion in this point is beginning to specialize in a specific target which a kind, everlasting relationship to be grown. If the survey proves that other segments could be interested in our feature, they can be going to add progressively but respecting their insights. Inclusive, features that fit to the interests of that other targets could be created

The market surveys are mutable, what means they can give us new results as the interests of the people to change. That depends much on the ideosyncracy of the public, the space and the time they occupy, and the existent current events. So, it’s recommendable they renew as soon as changes in this variable to be detected inside the target we are usually working a feature with.

Conciliating perspectives

The key for a successful feature is the format originality, the style, and the contents, combined to the satisfaction of the real expectations the public has. Then, it’s when the purpose must be defined – the goal we want to reach when we launch or hold a determined feature.

This purpose must be verifiable in quantity as well as quality, and it must have in constant review to see if it’s realistic or it needs to fit. The constant market survey will allow us to make the necessary adjustments or changes for this binomy to keep powered.

If some of those procedures is made without the right rigor, or if it is simply dismissed, it can’t be guaranteed the production effort to be successful. Thus, it’s not about to have and to develop the idea, but to make the necessary steps to know if it will have impact. This first effort will save many headaches.

Three, two, one… On air! On air? Yes, on air!

When Cable News Network, CNN, was 20 years old 20 years ago, it posted an very understable interactive feature (I did not find the 20-year commemorative but the 25-year one, instead)about how it operated from its newsroom to the communications engeneering that allows it to have global coverage. One of the things I wondered of, how it organizes when there is the famous breaking news.

CNN, which broadcast started on June 1st, 1980, born as an improbable entrepreneurship, loses wherever you saw, pushed by a neurotic Atlanta, GA-native magnate named Robert Edward Turner III, Ted Turner for friends.

No one gave a dollar for a 24-hour news channel initially broadcasting from a basement. No one impressed of its informative power even when it moved to Omni Hotels compound facilities, partially renamed as CNN Center later, in Atlanta Downtown, the home of the one most popular sodas in the planet. No one belief the small cable market would make a difference.

No one until 1991, when the world realized it was CNN-adict to know what was happening in the Middle East during the Gulf War, the first warlike conflict practically broadcast globalwide on live-TV, and that redefined the notion of journalistic inmediacy, covering the story as it happens in the same instant it is happening. And covering a live-story is not an easy job. If not watch this clip:

Like every respectable newsroom, CNN has the space organized by topics: domestic, international, business, politics, etc. Each one has a section editor, which job is reviewing the work of the entire crew, selecting the most interesting and important, upgrading another level in charge of a senior editor, who sets the agenda we receive everyday.

Nothing extraordinary until here because that is made in every newsroom. When there is breaking news, the thing changes completely right there. The secttion editors give the position to the senior editor, becoming part of the crew they lead, and it’s this senior editor who organizes the whole coverage with an only purpose – checking the news fact as it breaks, and once the fact-checking protocols were accomplished, go releasing, or coordinating to the line producer for addressing the on-air presenter.

According to Live From Baghdad motion picture (HBO, 2002) and a story on Time magazine on January 1992 (which excerpt was lended to me by one of my Journalism teachers, María Luisa Portugal), during the Gulf War, Turner as well as his CEO Tom Johnson took the editorial control of the network during the historic broadcast on January 16th, 1991 (when the Desert Storm Operation started), because they were aware the entire world –the entire world!—was watching CNN. It was the first time it was happening, so reducing the error margin was their main task. Here is the original broadcast of that afternoon (17:00 EST):

Independently the ideologic criticism it receives everywhere, when the news are breaking in this right instant, many people even tune CNN around the globe to know how the story is developing, and, of course, very few people are aware of the crew behind making that happens.

Indeed, since 1980s-ending and more emphatically in the 1990s, the around-the-clock, around-the-globe news channels offer has multiplied, so options are to choose, but the live-story formula has not suffered from major modifications, except the technology wwhich it is broadcast, smaller each time, enormous each chance. And 40 years later, CNn, the news channels, the journalists have a great story to cover, especially when the world asks more than understands.

Five words to mark the after-quarantine

Just 20 years ago, when the Internet in Peru began to do the transition from the boom of internet-cafés to the slow growth of dial-up home connections, the online journalists were few. To be (then thin) in-cloud, and that  was almost a snob, unnecessary, arrogant act. Who went following you on the net if there were few connected people? Today, the print media are the rare ones.

I’m not saying the ink is over. I think it will have a long life, still, but modifying its display (3D?), and that’s the first keyword in the history of humankind – to modify. Since we invented the writing until we invented the first artificial intelligence algorithm, what changed is the way how we do itbut not the purpose we have – to stay in touch and to solve problems.

Perhaps, what has happened in most recent times is those modifications are happening too fast to understand (psychologist would say to mourn)and add them into our life, but let’s accostum – things are going to modify everytime faster, and that must not scare us because the shapes are going to change almost every minute, but what must not change or rather improve is our essence.
Starting from that premise and taking like an example what happened to journalism during the last two decades, let’s consider that an adaptation factor we have in mind is that we belief as normal or usual (especially before December 31st, 2019), has already left to be. Independently that the Covid-19 quarantine is going to  relax soon, new cultural patterns evolved violently, and they are going to go on among us not in remaining 2020 but long years. And the unadapted species come to extinguish.

Another challenge we are going to assume is how to pass from the overcontrol (or overprotection) and the uncontrol to the self-control. The extremes have been the relevant in humankind’s history, especially in the last 500 years, and they had its critical moment after The Illustration, 300 years ago. I don’t say they were unnecessary. In its historical moment, they served us to go through from hierarchies to equality, and as the coronavirus slammed us on the face with its own anti-discrimination policy, the extremes don’t serve us anymore in this historical moment.

Now, if you insist in looking for a historical reference that eases to understand the actual instant, I’d say it’s a mix of Humanism and Renaissance spiced by the technological advance in something we call now The Knowledge Society. So I consider to be making an arc with a moment in world’s history, 600 years length.

The new world order
We unite defeat the virus but not priviledging social classes. Look, it’s not communism, capitalist-socialism either. It’s something different but powerful than forecast by Smith or Marx & Engels as well. We thank their contribution to the discussion but their concepts are already discontinued to us.

So, the new world order builds based upon those criteria: adaptability, unity, flattered & circling dialogue, urgency sense, humanity, proactivity, creativity, and wisdom. The parties and potencies will not be already led by countries or doctrines but the self-control capability (not self-repression) the individual has, and how this one transcends to the community in a positive, free, and effective way.

The social isolation this new order imposes us doesn’t pretend we become selfishest than we used to be (despite to have 4500 buddies on Facebook), but it’s an opportunity to see ourselves, reconciliate with our real potential, and carry it out for bringing it to everybody in the most original way as possible.

So, if you ever felt you outstood as an astronomer, but they said you to crash down if you didn’t stand onto your feet, good news: the new order gives you a revenge chance. And as every inner world doesn’t look like anyone else, what we will have is an almost 8-billion-possibility offer, if we get to that number.

New paradyms
The age of how much you are, what it serves you for, is not longer. We are in the age of how much you know, how you use it to innovate. And that’s the second keyword of those time. Realise that our need to be healthy, then not to be ill, has made the big fortunes address not to buy luxury but looking for a cure, a treatment at least because the human, the animal, the vegetal are not the enemy. It’s something not matching in any of these categories. Actually, the animal and the vegetal are coming back to recover the space offtaken by the human.

Then, over all this new philosophy of our history, how is the humankind, its star, going to survive? In my latest op-ed, I helped to birth a new professional career, RPSR, that means an holistic vision for managing the risk scenarios in a proactive, mitigating way, and it will be just one of many evolutions (Pokémon style) we are going to attend to.

Other fields to be assessed come innovatively re-assessed, and here we are going to name them, warning they are not exclusive but cooperative in the context that represents the third keyword of this new age – symbiosis, that inmediatly will outbreak a fourth one – synchretism.
  • Technoprimary Production (TP)

And what will happen to the jobs as we know today? They won’t disappear. Someones will integrate to others, like others will follow as unique, but the common to all them is to have the authomation like its best ally. And who be the better, will have more market – competitiveness, the fifth word of this new time. So, nothing will turn back to before, but waht left to say is everything will be much better. It will depend on you, on me, on our talent and our attitude to make it happen.
